Supplies are not included in Adult classes unless otherwise indicated.
*First Class bring photographs or objects you may be interseted in.
Painting (Oils or Acrylics)
Colors (Oil or Acrylics)
Red,Yellow, Blue,Green, Black, Titanium White
Liquitex, Winsor & Newton, Grumbacher are recommended but not a must
Surface 11 x 14 or Larger
Canvas paper (sheets packaged in pads)
Canvas on wood stretchers or boards
Masonite
Cardboard
Plywood without knots - 1/4 inch (Birch is best)
Brushes:
Any fine, white bristle (flat, filbert bright or round).
All shapes (long-handled preferable) are suitable.
1-inch acrylic house paint brush (flat) short handled.

Bristle or Acrylic: #2, 4, & 8 flat
#12 round

General
Plastic palette, dinner plate, wax paper, large enough to mix paints on
Palette knife
Soft Rag, lint free
Small can of Turpentine for oil painting

Gesso

Masking tape

Watercolor Painting
HB graphite pencil, Kneaded eraser, White plastic eraser, Pencil sharpener
Strathmore watercolor paper 9 x 12 or larger
Inexpensive white sketch book
Tracing paper
Masonite Board, Bulldog clips, and Masking tape
Round Brushes: #2, #10, & #12.
Flat Brushes: ½”, & 1”
1 white rectangular plastic palette with reservoirs for paint
1 plastic container with lid
An Art bin, or tackle box to transport supplies
An apron
A portfolio or large folder to keep your work
Watercolor paints:
Payne’s Gray, Cadmium Yellow, Raw Umber, Ivory, Black, Zinc (Chinese), White, Cadmium Red Medium, Cobalt Blue, Emerald Green, Mauve, Cadmium Orange *(Recommended Brands: Grumbacher or Winsor Newton Cottman)
