Volunteer Opportunities

 

 

Don't wait. Get involved. Join the ranks of volunteers at a vibrant, ever evolving, downtown Uxbridge cultural hotspot and serving The Blackstone Valley. Volunteers fill a variety of positions and work in almost every department of the Arts & Music Locations. The enthusiastic commitment of our volunteers allows us to open our doors to individuals of all ages and abilities and we provide visitors with a high-quality experience in the Studio, at the Café or at community events.

 

Please remember that volunteer placement is a selective process and not all applicants are accepted into the program. The Rainbow Palette reserves the right to place volunteers in the area staff feels is best suited to the applicant's skills and the needs of the Programs.

 

Volunteer at events, serve as goodwill ambassadors and buzz agents, help raise awareness for The Rainbow Palette Arts and provide critical feedback to help shape future events.

 

Administrative Volunteer Positions  

 

          Administrative Assistants are dedicated men and women who assist the Rainbow Palette staff by providing administrative support. Volunteers assist the staff with a monthly news letter, mailings, word processing, filing or updating the website.

 

Specific Skills: No specific skills are necessary, although telephone computer skills are welcome.

 

Obligations: Assistants are encouraged to help at least 4 hours a month as needed.

 

Orientation: Training is provided with each job challenge.

 

Educational Volunteer Positions 

 

Assist in the classroom settings or at Student Art Shows. Internships Welcomed. Students may range from age 5 and up and some students may have some disability.

 

Specific Skills: No specific skills are necessary, although some knowlege in arts & crafts are preferred.

 

Obligations: Assistants are encouraged to help at least 4 hours a month as needed.

 

Orientation: Training is provided with each job challenge.

 

 

Social and Fundraising Volunteer Positions

 

General Supporters

Social Ambassadors, attend local events, fundraisers, lectures or local happenings and assist in spreading the word.

 

Specific Skills: No specific skills are necessary, although people skills are welcome.

 

Obligations: Assistants are encouraged to help at least 4 hours a month as needed.

 

Orientation: Training is provided with each job challenge.

Become A Friend Membership

 

The Rainbow Palette supports Arts programming in the Blackstone Valley. The Rainbow Palette's mission Offers Arts to individuals of all ages and all abilities! We promote educational programming, Events & Video exposure related to Art, Music, Writers Arts and Crafts, expand Arts audiences in The Blackstone Valley and to provide Arts programs and special events for the enjoyment of its community. Such events may include lectures, presentations, travel opportunities, priority ticketing for Arts engagements, special Arts sponsorship opportunities, and introductions to local and world-renowned Artists, Musicians and more.

 

Specific Skills: Required Related to specific needs.

 

Obligations: Member levels are financially based by contributions of $100.00, $500.00, $1,000, $5,000, $10,000 and $25,000 annually. Executive-board members must contribute annually at $500.00 and General Board members at the $100.00 level.

 

 

Partnership 

 

A Partner is a Rainbow Palette support group of dynamic professional and civic-minded individuals. Its primary goals are to generate funds for the Rainbow Palette Educational Division and the TLC Program and High Achievement Awards; to develop leadership; and to support arts education. Partner sponsors programs of special interest to its members and to the community. Partnership Members also hosts training seminars, Fundraising Events and Social Events.

 

Specific Skills: Public Relations and skills for fundraising are desirable. Individuals with a business background or who are eager to raise funds for the Educational Division.

 

Obligations: Annual dues of $100. Annual donation to the  Rainbow Palette TLC Program and High Achievement Awards of $400. Participate in soliciting financial contributions for the Arts & Education Division. Participate in committees and events.

 

Orientation: Members are considered provisional for 1 year.

 

Membership:  Membership is by invitation. New members must be voted in by the group or sponsered by 3 members.
