South Main Street Sidewalk Business Festival (The Senior Center to Savers Bank)
The Uxbridge Public Schools, Downtown Businesses and the Community are invited to wear their Red Sox attire to celebrate Red Sox Opening Day. This is a great chance for everyone to come together and share an old fashion family street festival. There will be lots to see and do on Artist way (not Yawkey way). There will be Street Venders, Performers and activities. It is my hope that this will help in the revitalization effort to bring the public back to Downtown Uxbridge. Coming downtown will give you an opportunity to get to know your neighbors, people who work downtown and see what the businesses have to offer our community.

May 17,2008 3 PM Book Signing and Reading
I am pleased to announce that writer, Jean Charles Soucy, will be my guest to discuss his new book entitled: Of Granite and Tigers: The Parenting of Thomas. Our guest will do a brief reading, discuss his work informally, and remain available to all to share his personal experiences as a parent of a disabled adult.
Of Granite and Tigers: The Parenting of Thomas. This brief, ninety page autobiographical sketch is a jargon free, easy read for all parents of special education students. It will resonate especially with the parents of severely disabled children.
The Rainbow Palette is easily located in the center of Uxbridge, and there is ample parking.
Free Refreshments will be served.
"The book is personal and true. It prompts easy discussion among parents involved in special education advisory committees. It also serves as a wonderful adjunct to the counseling of parents of disabled children. I am familiar with the parenting of disabled children of all ages, because that is my work and Thomas is my son," Jean Charles Soucy.
